Omsk Plant “Etalon” is a federal unitary state enterprise of Gosstandart (State Standard Organisation) of Russia. It specialises in the development and production of reference and technical means of temperature measurement and of metrologic equipment

The plant has its own design bureau, scientific research department, metrologic service, marketing service and other structures that gives opportunity to carry out independent developments on the modern engineering level, to manufacture high-quality and reliable products.
The plant is a constant member of the Temperature Commission of Gosstandard of Russia. It has constant relations with leading metrologic institutes, scientific research institutes of different branches of industry and design organisations. All this promotes the improvement of existing technologies, the implementation of new ones including conversion materials and unique equipment.
Thanks to high qualification of developers and manufactures and to high engineering level of products the plant certified the quality system in conformity with international standards ISO 9000 and standards GOST R.
The production of radio engineering means of measurement and measures of short length of micron range used in electronic and optical industry was the main specialisation of the plant till 1991. Then after structural reconstruction the plant started to manufacture thermal engineering means of measurement.
From 1991 till the present time the plant has developed and put into serial production more than 120 types of temperature sensors, more that 7000 modifications, including explosion-proof types with unified output signals, pair resistance thermometers for heat meters.
Products of the plant showed themselves to be good ones for usage in different branches of industry and economy and also at objects of the Ministry of Defence and Navy (there is a recognition of the register), they can be adapt to any object and can substitute imported ones.
All developments carried out by the plant are made at the expense of the plant. Specialists of the plant constantly visit objects under operation for studying problems related to temperature measurements and for consulting on temperature measurements.
Having mastered the production of temperature sensors the plant has started the development and serial production of electronic secondary devices using up-to-date microprocessing equipment: transducers, meters and regulators of temperature, pyrometers and infra-red imagers.
